Amiens
Nestled in the rolling mountains of the Wittern Isles is the small ancient walled-in village of Amiens. Populated by a few hundred, the town was struggling many years ago to get people to live there and tourists to come visit. With the economy crumbling, many people left and others threatened to follow, leaving the town mostly abandoned.
Since Mayor Laurent Arseanu was elected 5 years ago, the town has been thriving, becoming an art hub. Small old wattle and dub houses, a market, children playing happily in the streets, and a small theatre; many people from the neighboring large city of Vales and other villages on the Isles travel hours to see the beautiful village, often staying at the Creux Inn.
